Job Description:

Phone numbers are an integral part of our customer’s brand and as such are the single most important component to ensuring success. At Avaya, our Porting Specialists serve as the owner of the porting relationship and focus solely on driving the transition of our customer phone numbers from their current carrier to the Avaya platform.  If you join our team, your day-to-day focus will be highly visible within the company and will focus on assisting customers through the porting process and driving the outcomes necessary for the ultimate success of our customers. You will focus on delivering value to them as well as to Avaya through your diligent porting efforts

Position Responsibilities

  • Present porting process and document specifications to customers on Onboarding Kick Off Calls
  • Work directly with the customer to define the documentation needed in a clear and concise manner
  • Send, scan, collect, organize, and update customer data; save and update customer’s files
  • Submit a clean documentation package to ensure expedience
  • Follow up with all customers to communicate incomplete or missing paperwork
  • Clearly communicate porting statuses with customers by email and phone
  • Submit and check statuses of submitted pending port requests
  • Submit trouble tickets to providers for any ported number issues
  • Submit all change requests with needed rejection information received
  • Return any phone messages and reply to customers’ emails
  • Take escalated customer calls
  • Urgently engage with appropriate contacts to address any porting rejections.

 Job Requirements

  • German language fluency (B2 or above) and moderately proficient in English
  • Strong administrative background in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Very detail-oriented with time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Possess an enthusiastic attitude and be willing to support whatever the department needs
  • Superior organizational skills
  • A professional and pleasant voice with outstanding communication and telephone skills
