At Sutherland we are proud of the multinational culture that our team members enjoy at the workplace. Meet, Nourhane Mahdy. She relocated to our site in Bulgaria joining our Hilton project as a Reservation Customer Care Associate in the French speaking team. She will tell you her story about relocating in Bulgaria and being part of Sutherland’s team.
- How do you feel about working for a multinational company with over 60 locations?
My journey with Sutherland started in 2010 and it has opened the door to me for lots of opportunities inside and outside Egypt. I had the chance to travel to India back in 2011, stayed there for 3 months, then in 2014 I traveled to Morocco for 7 months and now here I am in Bulgaria for an amazing new experience. So, working for such a big company allowed me to grow not only in my career but on a personal level, too, being open to so many different cultures from around the world. The learning process at Sutherland is ongoing and the opportunities for growth and self-development are never ending.
As for what makes this company unique is that not only Sutherland is global as an organization, but it makes its employees international citizens!
- How and why did you decide to relocate?
The opportunity came to me at a moment where I needed a big change in my life so I seized it and threw myself in this new experience. Everything regarding the relocation process was then taken care of by Sutherland Egypt in coordination with Sutherland Bulgaria.
- How your career changed with the relocation?
Though it was a start from scratch for me, travelling to a new country and discovering new things here in Bulgaria is worth the try.
- What do you like most about your position?
I’m part of an amazing team at the Hilton project, which makes my daily tasks at work less stressful and enjoyable.
- What do you love most about Bulgaria?
It’s definitely the people I met here and became friends with! They are super nice, smiling, warm, so helpful and very welcoming. And of course, the beauty of the nature here in Bulgaria, which is quite different from where I come from. Snowy cold winter is a new thing for me but I liked it, vibrant summer days, extremely beautiful fall and crazy spring.
