Road traffic accidents remain one of the most serious—and preventable—causes of injury and loss of life in Bulgaria. In 2025, more than 6,600 road traffic accidents were registered nationwide. As a result, around 450 people lost their lives, while more than 8,000 people were injured. These figures remind us that road safety is not just about following traffic laws—it is about the choices we make every day.
At Sutherland, we believe that meaningful change starts with people. That’s why we’re launching our “Road Safety Starts with Choices” campaign. We are beginning with our own teams because every positive change starts from within.
Through this initiative, we aim to raise awareness, encourage reflection, and inspire responsible behavior on the road. Whether we’re driving to work, cycling through the city, crossing the street, or travelling as passengers, every decision matters. Choosing to wear a seatbelt, putting away a mobile phone, slowing down, respecting speed limits, or staying alert may seem like small actions—but together, they save lives.
Over the past couple of months, our colleagues shared their own personal stories and experiences that have shaped the way they think about road safety. Through these stories, educational content, and internal activities, we hope to encourage conversations that lead to safer habits both inside and outside the workplace.
This campaign is more than an awareness initiative. It is a reminder that every one of us has the power to make our roads safer through conscious, responsible choices.
Together, let’s create a culture where road safety is everyone’s responsibility—because road safety starts with choices
