Lili Yordanova Sutherland Platinum PerformerSutherland has a plethora of incredible people. However, we have many who are willing to go the Extra Mile. In acknowledgment of their efforts, we honor them as a Platinum Performer. Meet Sutherland’s latest awardee – Lili Yordanova.

1. How and when did you come to Sutherland?

I came to Sutherland in November 2014. It was an entirely new field for me and I decided to take the opportunity that presented itself– being a part of the first wave of an entirely new program, supporting a world-renown brand.

2. What gets you up in the morning? No, not your dog or alarm….but what really drives you to get up and give your best each day?

My team. They are the main driver for all the effort I put into my work. Seeing them and interacting with them is a real pleasure.

3. So far in your career at Sutherland, what are your top three most important accomplishments?

My first accomplishment was to develop myself as one of the top performing employees in my program and to get a Team Manager position.

My second accomplishment was the successful leadership of the team during a very tough holiday campaign. Due to force major circumstances I was the only Team Manager in the project for a certain period of time. We had huge work volume and an unexpected client visit at New Year’s Eve. Fortunately, we have managed the situation perfectly and finished the campaign and the year with flying colors.

My last but not least accomplishment, that I still have the pleasure of experiencing every single day, is the constant feeling that the people I manage improve and become better and better. Having many people from my team promoted to leadership positions and be given additional tasks is the most fulfilling experience I’ve had until now in my work experience. In my opinion creating a great environment for talented people to grow is the most essential and long-term investment that a company can make.

4. What is the best advice you’ve ever received at work or in life?

To be patient and persist in my efforts to improve the world around me and myself.  Wanting everything here and now is not a winning strategy. I strongly believe that in order to be ready for the responsibilities you get when you succeed you have to have a certain amount of life experience.

5. What are you looking forward to the most in 2017?

I am looking forward to the new challenges and projects that we have in the program. Client visits really excite me and I would love to have a lot of those this year. I would love to travel as well and see some of the other Sutherland sites.

6. If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Being able to travel in time. It would be exciting to be able to travel between the past and the future and to see the history unfolds before my eyes.
